Tax Lead Lab ("we," "us") provides a platform that lets tax professionals ("members") build branded, interactive tax-education tools and collect information from prospective clients ("visitors") who use those tools. This policy explains what we collect and how it is used.

Information we collect from members

• Account information: email address and password (stored as a secure hash).
• Business and brand profile information you provide: business name, contact details, logo, and brand colors.
• Usage data about how you interact with the platform.

Information collected from visitors through published tools

When a visitor completes a member's published tool, we collect only the fields that member has chosen to request: for example name, email, phone, city, state, preferred contact method, and answers to the tool's educational questions. We never ask for Social Security numbers, full bank account details, complete tax returns, or identity documents through standard lead forms.

How information is used

• To operate member accounts and published tools.
• To deliver leads collected through a member's tools to that member only — leads are never shared across member accounts.
• To send transactional emails such as verification, password reset, and lead notifications.
• To maintain the security and integrity of the platform.

Who owns lead data

Leads collected through a member's published tool belong to that member. Tax Lead Lab acts as a data processor on the member's behalf and does not sell or share visitor information with other members or third parties for their own marketing purposes.

Data retention and deletion

Members may delete individual leads or their entire account at any time from their dashboard settings. Deleting an account removes the associated brand profile, published tools, and leads from active use.

Security

We use industry-standard practices including password hashing, server-side authorization checks on every request, and rate limiting on public-facing forms to reduce abuse.
